   Cobalt 302

   Twin Valve 380’s

   none

   I have a Cobalt 302 with T Volvo 380’s. Dealer is telling me Steering Control Module needs replaced and cost is $4,205 for fix starboard engine only. Anyone have feedback or thoughts, price seems high.

   I am assuming it is the steering modulator. Volvo had a rash of bad ones, even ones in the dealer stock. I would ask if this was part of that issue. Try calling the Cobalt factory, as they keep records of each boat and parts used. You may Find that it just might be covered. Worth a try. But $4k seems high.
