Last month, a couple buddies and myself headed out to Colorado. Played 27 holes of golf at Breckenridge, then headed into the back country of Clohesy Lake and hiked Missouri Mountain. It was a 4 mile hike from camp to the summit of the mountain. The ascent was approximately 3600 feet, and the summit was 14,076. Googling Missouri Mountain and searching several sites give different elevations for summit, so we agreed at 14,076. Spent a night in downtown Denver. Heading to the golf course in Breckenridge. It was s beautiful scenic drive into camp. In many places the trail was narrower than the truck. After we got camp set up, we hiked to Clohesy Lake. Our campsite tucked back in the trees. We had a roaring spring 50feet from our tent.
