I have a 2008 282 with Twin 5.7l Volvo Penta engines/outdrives. I am planning on having a piling-mounted lift installed to keep the boat out of the water but in order to know where to place the front part of the slip I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the center of gravity for the boat? I know it depends on options etc but it doesn't have to be exact, just pretty close. I don't want to have too much or too little space in the slip for the boat!

I had the same question for my 2004 250. After a call to Cobalt, I was told they build them for a C/B of roughly 1/3 the length from the back of the boat forward. My boat is 25 ft, so he said measure roughly 8 ft forward from the transom.
