Hello! I recently purchased a 1999 cobalt 293 which has been absolutely amazing so far. The only thing I'm struggling with is figuring out where to service the AC unit. This is the only thing that doesn't work on the boat, but I can't find a single thing on how to troubleshoot. I'm not even sure where the darn thing is located on the boat. Anyone out there have any sort of service manual pertaining to AC? The owners manuals are just no help at all. Thank you in advance.

Reach out to your local Cobalt dealer with your HID#. They can tell you what was original equipment on the boat which would then tell you the make of the A/C unit, which will be easier to find the service guide for the A/C unit. In the meantime, check to make sure that the fuse has not been removed from the fuse panel. I am not as familiar with the 293. but I think the A/C unit is located rear starboard area. Most A/C units I am familiar with require water flow from a pump, which runs when the generator runs.

Thanks Walt! I eventually found where the AC is located, and turns out a portion of my problem was a faulty thermostat. Now on to figuring out why the water isn't pumping. Going to check the basket and pump itself (once I figure out which one it is) but now the AC breaker flips after a few seconds, which I imagine is because it isn't getting any water.
