Phillip, I know quite a bit about the Cobalt “C Series” boats (CS7, CS9, CM9, CS23 & CM23) and have just completed a restoration of my 1985 CM23. I’m afraid your price is a bit aggressive. Tha NADA Guide indicates a current resale value of just under $3000 in good condition. Your boat appears to be in good condition and it is somewhat rare but $6000 over book value is going to be a challenge unless you find the right buyer. If your boat was in Bristol condition, fully restored with new everything, all teak refinished and the hull buffed and polished you could possibly get $6-7000....again, IF if you found the right buyer. Remember, it’s 35 years old. I have about $16,000 into my restoration and I would be thrilled to get $10k. I hope I’m wrong. I hope you get what you are asking, it only helps me. Best of luck. Let us know what happens. Shawn
Hello everyone the Canadian dollar is about 25% less than the US. The 8900.00 price is based on what georges boats has a cm9 currently listed at. George's boats is a upper New York State dealer for cobalt. So my asking price is 25% less than their boat. That being said you have to start some where. All of your comments are appreciated. I am open to offers Thanks. Phil
