My tow vehicle could use an upgrade, but the old gal has treated me right over the last 17 years and, other than the first time she pulled the boat (thermostat went out), she pulls my 226 without a problem. '98 GMC Yukon.

Blessed with a 2004 GMC 2500 Duramax 174K on it and it pulls the Cobalt like a dream !

Does a good job pulling my 272 however my truck does not want anymore. I wish I had a diesel.

Here's mine....
It's a 2006 F250 Lariat. I know....it's a 6.0 and has a horrible reputation. I bought it used 3 years ago with 68,000 miles on it. I really did a lot of research on the motor which was built for 4 years. My research told me, don't buy an '04, an '05 is better than an '04, the '06 & '07 were the best to buy, try and buy one with no modifications. Mine was a one-owner, purchased from a Ford dealer and was bone-stock with no chips, tuners, deletes, etc. While we were finishing the deal I expressed my concern and reluctance. I was offered the Ford Platinum Extended Service Plan for $1200....normal retail is $4000. Since I never buy these plans my wife thought I was nuts. I told her to trust me. So about 3 months after we bought it I had an engine issue basically with the EGR Cooling System. Because I had this plan Ford told my dealer to do this, and this, and this while the engine was apart....basically everything that was a known issue The bottom line is a $6000 repair cost me the $100 deductible. When we moved from Northern Cal to the New Orleans area we drove our truck and it performed flawlessly and is still is. Most agree that when the 6.0 is running right it runs awesome.

You guys have a lot of nice rigs to pull your Cobalts. I opted for a year round lift, so as to not have to tow to the lake. I have pulled my 262 out 2x since I have had it. And you may think I am slightly off (maybe highly likely on that), but I pulled it home and back (~15 miles) with my 2008 Silverado Regular cab with 113k miles on a 4.3L V6. I have no complaints as it had enough juice to pull out of the water and up and down the hills to the lake. I meant to get a picture with it all hooked up, but never did.

I thought I posted this -- DUGH

We had a 1500 Dodge with V8 that pulled the 232 ok - but it didn't pull the boat- if you know what I mean. We were blessed to find a 2004 GMC 2500 Diesel - that to be honest - pulls it like it wasn't there.

2012 Tundra Rock Warrior with '98 252 in tow. Not crazy about the way it "squats" in the back. Tows great otherwise. Table Rock Lake Labor Day Weekend.

Finally got a good shot of our tow rig. This is my wife's daily driver, 2017 Mercedes AMG GLE43. It does surprisingly well towing, twin turbo V6, 360ish hp and 385ish ft-lb. AWD and 4 corner air suspension.

I don't have a Ram but my dad owned a 1500 Ram with the 5.7 Hemi and it was a dog for towing his boat. I'm sure the diesel would be better. I'm somewhat of a Mopar guy so I'm not bagging on Dodge....but people I know who've owned the Ram haven't been too impressed.
